Coach Jo has been in Dubai since 2010, spending the last 3 years as Head of PE in Safa School as well as working for a sports coaching company called Libra.
Jo, a qualified UEFA coach spent two years working as an area manager for Premier Sport, a highly recognised professional coaching company in England and also spent two seasons in the Academy of former English Premier Division side Portsmouth FC. Jo also has an exceptional playing pedigree having spent five seasons as a youth player at Portsmouth FC and then continuing at semi professional level before pursuing a full time coaching career.
Coach Sam has been in Dubai since 2010 and has spent the last two years as Head Coach of Clark Francis Tennis in Abu Dhabi. Prior to that he was Director of Tennis at Libra. Before coming to Dubai, Sam was the Tennis Development Manager for the North West based out of Cheshire County Council.
During his time there he set up a tennis programme for 35 schools in the North West, running termly inter-schools competitions for all ages levels and abilities. He was also involved in staff and teacher training, tennis leaders tutoring and was Head Coach at two large tennis clubs. Sam has experience of coaching at all levels and abilities from tennis tots through to adults.
Shah started his career as a tennis coach in 2005. He is fully qualified from London, UK.
He has worked in England from 2005 to 2010, including prestigious Hazelwood tennis and squash club before moving to Singapore in 2010
He has been working in Dubai and Abu Dhabi since September 2013. During his career, he has worked with kids and adults of all abilities
With 14 years of tennis coaching experience in England, Singapore and UAE, Shah also hold a degree in computer sciences but decided to pursue a career in Tennis as this is where his true passion lies.
Coach Dan is an ex-professional player and a UEFA qualified football coach from England. Dan moved to Dubai in 2013 to persue his coaching career.
At the age of 9 Dan signed his first professional contract at West Ham United FC - here he was awarded the youngest ever player to sign professionally.
Further into his youth career he transferred to Aston Villa FC - He managed to help guide the team to the quarter finals of the FA youth cup.
Dan completed his YTS at Peterborough United FC - Dan managed to break into the first team and secured a regular place in the Championship league .
After playing at a professional level, he dropped down to a semi-professional level to concentrate on his passion for coaching. At this point he signed for Saint Neots FC, under West Ham United’s Steve Lomas.
At Saint Neots FC he became player, coach and ambassador for the academy, bringing through the next generation from grass roots to elite level
Before moving to the UAE to pursue his coaching career further, he finished his playing career in the UK at Kings Lynn Town FC.
Dan is currently playing for Dubai Allstars in the local league in Dubai (DAFL)
